Kintrade Privacy Policy

Kintrade is an independent marketplace browser and trading helper for the game Kintara (kintara.gg). It consists of the website at kintrade.xyz and the optional “Kintrade” browser extension. Kintrade is not affiliated with Kintara. This policy explains exactly what data we do and don’t handle.

The short version

  • Your Kintara login/session, inventory, and game data are read only in your own browser by the extension and are never sent to our servers.
  • All purchases and sales are executed in your own Kintara session and signed by your own wallet. We never see or store your private keys or your Kintara credentials.
  • We don’t sell your data, and we don’t run third-party ad tracking.

The browser extension

The extension runs on kintara.gg / kintara.com to perform actions you initiate from kintrade.xyz — for example, buying or listing a marketplace item. To do this it:

  • Calls Kintara’s own marketplace API using the session cookie already present in your browser (the same way the game does). This happens locally; the session is never transmitted to Kintrade.
  • Builds and asks your wallet to sign any on-chain $KINS payment. You approve every transaction in your wallet. We do not custody funds or items.
  • Reads your inventory (via Kintara’s API) only to complete an action you started, entirely within your browser. Inventory contents are not sent to us.

The extension contains no remotely-hosted code; all logic ships inside the package.

What the website stores

When you use the optional Buy Requests board, we store, in our backend (Convex):

  • Your public Solana wallet address (used as your identity after you sign in).
  • A display name and optional self-reported Kintara username that you provide.
  • The requests, offers, and messages you choose to post on the board.

We never store your Kintara session, your inventory, or any private keys. Browsing the marketplace requires no account and stores nothing about you.

Fees

When a purchase is executed through the extension, a 1% service fee is included in the transaction you sign and sent on-chain to Kintrade. You see this fee before you approve. Kintrade never holds your funds at any point.

Analytics

The website uses privacy-friendly, aggregate usage analytics (Vercel Analytics) to understand traffic. This does not identify you personally.

Data sharing & retention

We do not sell your data. Board data is stored only to operate the board and can be removed on request. Public on-chain transactions are, by nature, public.
